Mobile phone, car audio and home office retailer the Strathfield Group has placed its biggest ever single-model vehicle fleet order. Forty Toyota TownAce semi-bonneted vans, purchased via a Toyota Finance Fleet operating lease, will perform installation and sales duties around Australia. The Strathfield Group now operates more than 95 stores and recently diversified into the home computer market. The one-tonne payload Toyota TownAces will replace Strathfield's fleet supplied by another manufacturer. "TownAces are small enough to manoeuvre easily in the city but big enough to carry all the equipment our installers need," The Strathfield Group's national mobile installation manager, Mr Leo Poulos, said. "They are easy to drive and park, very much like a car. " Mr Poulos said Toyota's reputation for reliability was also a deciding factor in favour of TownAce. "I own a Toyota van which has done over 300,000 kilometres without missing a beat," he said. "Our new TownAces also look good, which is important as they act as mobile billboards" . The new TownAce SBVs are painted in Strathfield corporate red. The Strathfield Group's company secretary Trevor Hannah said the finance package put together by Toyota Finance Fleet was the among the most competitive on offer. Toyota Finance Fleet provides a complete range of fleet financing and management services for business vehicle fleets. TownAce has the choice of manual and automatic transmission and the option of ABS anti-skid brake and dual air-bag SRS. . |
